Prenuptial Agreement Template - Nevada

A Nevada Prenuptial Agreement is made prior to two individuals officially marrying and the purpose of the document is intended to specify how any estates or other assets will be split in the case of marriage dissolution or the passing of either spouse.

The laws in Nevada are rather tolerant in terms of the subject matter that may be covered in the arrangement. The conditions should not be in conflict with public policy or indeed any legislation that carries the risk of prosecution, nor may they adversely impair a partner's capacity to provide for their children.

The contract should be signed freely by both partners who have a fair comprehension of one the other partners monetary and estate obligations. The document should not be signed under duress and if any of these conditions are breached, the Nevada Prenuptial Agreement might not be upheld in a lawsuit if such a situation does occur.

For the agreement to be recognized legally, both partners need to ensure that they sign the document in the appropriate places.
